Description:
In this engaging and interactive training, participants will gain a greater knowledge of how to choose appropriate games and engage clients in ways that work towards achieving their therapeutic goals. Participants will learn how games can be used to assess behavior, determine whether games are appropriate for the individual child’s treatment, and learn how to make a game more than just a game—but a therapeutic experience. Additionally, participants will learn a large array of therapeutic benefits of games and a variety of new games to incorporate into their practice. The training will demonstrate how to use specific games for children with different common diagnoses, as well as incorporate the family.
