Barstow Acres Children Center is seeking therapists interested in learning play therapy to volunteer at our therapeutic summer camp. Learn play therapy techniques and social skills techniques while working in our camp.

Camp dates: Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
June 22 - July 17, 2009

We accept youth ages 5 to 13 years old with mild behavioral problems, attitude problems, and mild out-of-control behaviors, or self-esteem and confidence issues, who might respond to redirection and kindness, and would benefit from social skills training, positive peer interaction, anger management group, and character building.

Camp activities may include field trips within the county. Activities will include storytelling, reading and journaling; arts and crafts; board games; dancing; singing; and psychoeducational groups.

Please call or email us if you would be willing to volunteer any time during these 4 weeks.
